What counts as a chat conversation?

A conversation includes all messages within 30 minutes between user and AI Agent. If a conversation actually lasts longer than 30 minutes, an additional conversation is automatically charged. Unlike competitors who charge per message, LoyJoy only counts the conversation – regardless of how many follow-up questions your user asks.

What happens when I exceed my included volume?

You stay in control at all times: you receive automatic email alerts at 70 %, 85 %, and 100 % of your included volume. If exceeded, additional conversations or minutes are charged transparently at the stated per-unit price – no bill shock. For higher volumes we offer tiered pricing on request.

Are there setup or onboarding fees?

No setup fees. Onboarding is included – depending on tier: Starter 1 h onboarding + 1 h agent building, Professional 1 h onboarding + 1 person-day agent building, Enterprise 1 h onboarding + 3 person-days agent building, Unlimited individual support. What contract terms are available? How can I cancel?

You choose between a monthly term (full flexibility) or an annual contract (discounted rates). With an annual contract, you can cancel or upgrade at the end of the term. A tier upgrade is possible at any time during the year – the difference is charged pro rata. Binding details are set out in your quote, the Terms and Conditions , and the Acceptable Use Policy .

Which AI models are behind "Advanced AI" and "Premium AI"?

Advanced AI (all tiers): Gemma 4, GPT-5.6 Luna, Mistral Medium 3.1, GLM-4.7, Claude Haiku and more, selected by LoyJoy for best price-performance. Premium AI (from Enterprise): GPT-5.6, GPT-4.1, Claude Opus/Claude Sonnet, you actively choose the model. All models run on our EU hosting infrastructure.

What is Speech-to-Speech AI and why is it slightly more expensive?

Classic voice bots use a pipeline of Speech-to-Text → LLM → Text-to-Speech – this sounds mechanical and responds with noticeable delay. Speech-to-Speech AI understands and responds directly in speech – with low latency, natural prosody, and the ability to be interrupted. You pay for premium technology, but your customers hear the difference.

Which channels are included? What does WhatsApp really cost?

Web Chat and Phone (Speech-to-Speech) are included in all tiers. From Professional, WhatsApp and Apps via API are also available. WhatsApp costs €99 per month per phone number – Meta fees for outbound sessions are added separately depending on volume (charged transparently).

Does LoyJoy offer special pricing?

Yes. For Municipal Utilities and cooperative banks (Volksbanken/Raiffeisenbanken/Geno Banks) we offer industry-specific rates with DORA compliance included. Contact our sales team for an individual quote.

What happens on a tier upgrade?

You can upgrade at any time – the price difference is charged pro rata. All content (agents, workflows, knowledge base, conversations) remains unchanged. A downgrade is possible at the end of the current billing period.
